Returns & Refunds policy

At Tea Garden Australia, we are committed to providing quality food and beverages to our customers. If there is an issue with your order, we will work with you to resolve it promptly.

How Long Does a Customer Have to Request a Refund?

Customers must notify us of any issues with their order within 3 hours of receiving the order.

Due to the perishable nature of food and beverages, refund, replacement, or exchange requests submitted after this period may not be eligible for review, except where required under Australian Consumer Law.

For dine-in orders, customers are encouraged to notify our staff immediately of any issues so that we can resolve the matter promptly.

What Is the Procedure for a Return, Exchange or Refund?

If you receive an incorrect, damaged, defective, or missing item, please contact us by:

Please provide:

  • Your receipt;

  • Details of the issue;

  • Photographs of the item (if applicable); and

  • The last 4 digits of the payment card used for the transaction (for card payments only).

We aim to review all requests within 3 business days and will notify you of the outcome as soon as possible.

Who Pays for Return Shipping?

As Tea Garden Australia primarily sells food and beverages, customers are generally not required to return products.

If we request that an item be returned for inspection, Tea Garden Australia will advise whether return costs will be reimbursed based on the circumstances of the claim.

Non-Returnable Items

The following items are generally not eligible for return or refund:

  • Change-of-mind purchases;

  • Food and beverages that have been consumed;

  • Orders where customers have provided incorrect order details;

  • Items that have been mishandled after collection or delivery;

  • Sale or promotional items unless required by Australian Consumer Law.

Refunds, Exchanges and Store Credit

Depending on the circumstances, Tea Garden Australia may offer:

  • A replacement item;

  • An exchange;

  • Store credit; or

  • A partial or full refund.

Approved refunds will be processed back to the original payment method used for the purchase.

Refund processing times may vary depending on your bank or payment provider but typically take between 4 to 14 business days to appear in your account.

Online Delivery Orders

For orders placed through third-party delivery platforms such as Uber Eats, DoorDash, or Menulog, customers should first submit their refund request through the respective platform.

Tea Garden Australia may be required to review the order with the delivery platform before a refund can be approved.

Australian Consumer Law

Nothing in this policy excludes, restricts, or modifies any rights or remedies available to consumers under Australian Consumer Law.

Customers are entitled to a replacement or refund for a major failure and compensation for any other reasonably foreseeable loss or damage.

Customers are also entitled to have goods repaired or replaced if the goods fail to be of acceptable quality and the failure does not amount to a major failure.
